Sam Edwards, driver of a truck for a local moving company, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon as a result of an accident which occurred Friday afternoon at the intersection of Spring and Corbin streets.
It is charged that the truck driven by Edwards struck W.W Carpenter, who was riding a bicycle inflicting painful injuries.
Physicians, who were called to examine Mr. Carpenter, fund no fractured bones but several severe bruises to the face and head had to be dressed.
