Rev. A.R. Freeman, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, has gone to Philadelphia and other northern cities. He will spend several weeks as part of his annual vacation.
Miss May Belle Mooring, who is employed in an office at Wilmington, spent the week end with relatives here, returning yesterday to resume her duties.
Mr. Douglas Turner, representing Carolina Beach properties, arrived in the city yesterday for a conference with Mr. Lee Valade, district manager for the same.
Mr. N.D. Stanley, in charge of the sales forces in this district for the Morehead Bluffs properties, spent last night in the city in the interest of the same.
Miss Virginia Suther of the faculty of the Greenville schools has arrived in the city to the pleasure of her many friends.
Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Edgerton, Mr. Waddell Edgerton, Miss Anabel Starling and Mr. Eddie Edgerton spent Sunday at Burlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Valade are registered at the Goldsboro. Mr. Valade is sales manager in Goldsboro and vicinity for the well known and popular Carolina Beach properties.
W.Z. Bush of Raleigh, representing the Corbitt Motor Truck Company of Henderson was registered at the Terminal hotel last night.
Miss Maxine Posey, who has been spending a few days at her father’s summer home near North Wilkesboro, will return to the city today.
Miss Loaine Graham of Hamilton, Ga., is the guest of her sister, Mrs. William P. Watkins Jr.
Miss Clara Lee Johnson of Greensboro has returned home after a short visit in the city with friends.
Mr. H.L. Elmore of Rocky Mount spent Sunday in the city with his cousin, Mr. J.D. Langston.
Mrs. Ray Armstrong of Monroe is in the city the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. C. Kornegay.
Mr. J.W. Cooper of Henderson has a week end visitor in the city.
Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Allen spent Sunday at Rocky Mount with friends.
Mrs. J.E. Douglas of Tampa, Fla., is the guest of Mrs. L.O. Allen.
