A white man whose name was given by the police as J. T. Johnson was arrested here Monday night by Patrolmen Baxter Robinson and C. C. Sloop, and was lodged in the county jail charged with having liquor.
According to police reports, 26 gallons of liquor were found in a Nash roadster the man was driving. The officers trailed the man to his home, it is said, and when he drove into his garage, they followed him, finding the liquor when they searched his car.
He has been released on bond, it is said.
