Charlotte, Oct. 4—Fred Hays, negro, is dead and Willett Hinson, alias Bessie Dunn, Alias Bessie Ison, negress, was lodged in jail as the result.
She aimed her .32 caliber pistol at another negress but her aim was poor and the bullet struck Hays, an innocent bystander.
Hays died soon after he was taken to the hospital.
