“Card From Hon.
T.W. Bickett,” from the Friday, June 16, 1916 issue of The Monroe Journal—“The Union
County Paper—Everybody Reads It”
To the folks at
home: In the Bickett column “Sweet Union” leads all the rest. In royal fashion
she stood by her native son, and that son can never forget the tribute of love
for him and his people—most of whom have passed over the Great Divide. God
bless dear old Union! May she prosper in basket and store, and may her
hard-working, debt-paying, God-fearing citizenship continue to be an asset and
an inspiration to the State.
