W.H. Smith Decides a Two-Story Building Would be More Profitable, June 9, 1923

Two Story Buildings Are Better Investments

Mr. W.H. Smith who started out to build a one-story building on the corner of Boulevard and Bird Save., became so much impressed with his work that he decided to make it an up-to-date two story building. Mr. Smith came to a very wise conclusion. In a few years one-story buildings will be entirely out of date and unprofitable.

In towns much smaller than this, the one-story building is being torn down and are being replaced with taller ones. High priced real estate makes this necessary in a good many instances.
