By request of the American Legion the Chamber of Commerce has appointed the following heads of departments to arrange for floats, decorated cars, etc., in the big parade in Lenoir on the fourth of July:
Daughters of the American Revolution, led by “Spirit of ‘75”—Mrs. R.L. Gwyn.
Confederate Veterans—F.T. Sherrill.
War Mothers’ Club—Mrs. M.M. Courtney.
American Legion Auxiliary—Mrs. G.C. Courtney.
Daughters of the Confederacy—Mrs. W.L. Minish.
Manufacturers’ Floats—F.H. Hoover.
County Cars and Floats—C.W. Pegram and G.G. Steele.
Individual cars not included in the above—E.F. Allen.
