Salisbury, June 15—A number of local business men are holding conferences and planning to take over the Peoples National Bank, which closed here last Friday, convert it into a state bank and open it at the earliest possible moment. W.P. Folger, national examiner in charge of the closed bank, has given his endorsement to the movement and there now seems a probability of the plan going through. Should this move be successful, it is said the depositors would not lose a cent by the closing of the bank.
