Mont Jones, 50, Has Died, Jan. 3, 1924

Gastonia, Dec. 31—Mont Jones, 50, local cotton broker, died last night at a Baltimore hospital, according to messages received here today. He had been ill about a month and recently underwent an operation.

Mr. Jones was a native of Virginia. He was a member of the city council, a bank director and cotton mill executive prior to being taken ill. Besides his wife, several Gastonia children were at his bedside when he died.
