Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 12—Dr. Julian Baker of Tarboro, N.C., chose the air route this afternoon when he wished to come to Raleigh to administer radium treatment to a patient in a critical condition in a local hospital.
Getting in an airplane at Tarboro at 2 o’clock, the physician was brought to Raleigh by a commercial flier in one hour and one minute. Fifteen minutes after landing he was administering treatment to his patient with a particle of radium valued at $125,000, which he brought with him on his trip through the air.
