A barn owned by H.D. O’Briant on Walnut Street and used by Will Walker in storing feed stuff was damaged by fire Saturday afternoon. The alarm was sent in by telephone at 1:30 o’clock and hose company No. 3 and the hook and ladder responded.
The damage was given at approximately $50, covering both the barn and its contents. The probable cause advanced by the chief was children playing with matches in or around the building.
