Walter Southers Fined for Dynamiting Fish, June 13, 1925

Gets Road Sentence for Dynamiting Fish

Lexington, June 12—Walter Southers of High Point was fined $50 and sentenced to serve 30 days on the roads, when tried before Recorder Olive on a charge of dynamiting fish in Abbott’s creek recently. Southers was arrested for the local authorities by High Point officers, after a warrant had been sworn out by Sheriff R.B. Talbert on information furnished him.

This is the second man to be sentence here in recent weeks for dynamiting fish and the first received the same penalty, which is the minimum prescribed by the law for this offense.
