County Lost Fine Citizen in Death of Henry Bryson, July 14, 1925

Henry C. Bryson—Citizen

In the death last night of Henry C. Bryson of Cullowhee, nay of Jackson county, nay of Western North Carolina, the county has lost heavily.

Still a young man, Henry Bryson had, for years identified himself with every movement for the betterment of his community, his county, and his state. He stood for things that would make his county a better place in which to live. His was the kind of citizenship of which every county needs above all else.

In the church, in the Sunday School, in his fraternal order, in civic work, wherever he found a place Henry Bryson, known affectionately to all of Jackson county as “Henry” was striving for the things that make life more worth living; and we could always count on Henry Bryson being ready to lend his counsel and his labor to help keep things moving the direction of greater, better things.

He has done with his might what his hands found to do.
