Salisbury, Sept. 9—A 2 ½-year-old child of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Ratledge is dead, its mother is in a local hospital and one or two others are slightly injured, as a result of an automobile accident late yesterday afternoon at Ephesus, Davie county, when two cars collided.
The Ratledge family occupied a large touring car. The other car, a small roadster, was driven by George Stelle, who escaped with only slight bruises. A 13-months-old baby in the Ratledge car escaped unhurt. Mrs. Ratledge’s condition is not regarded as serious.
