Shelby—Superintendent I.C. Griffin of the Shelby schools may be a success as an educational leader, but as a proprietor of a marriage bureau he would have been a “whale of a success.” Either that or being a teacher in the Shelby schools is an asset for marriage.
Mr. Griffin received a letter informing him that the fifth teacher selected by him last year to teach yere this year had been married. All five were unmarried last year and now the genial superintendent claims the world’s record for selecting girls other men like.
