Richfield, Oct. 7—Mr. C.A. Ridenhour, of this place, died at the home of his on, W.M. Ridenhour, banker, in Greensboro, last night about 8 o’clock. Mr. Ridenhour left here last week for a visit to his son, and on Sunday night suffered a stroke of apoplexy and did not recover before death.
Mr. Ridenhour was one of the older pioneers of Richfield and was very prominent in his community He was for several years mayor of Richfield, and at the time of his death was a justice of the peace. When leaving here last week he said that his trip probably would cover a period of ? weeks, and his sudden death is a very severe shock to the entire community. The body arrived on the morning train from Greensboro Wednesday.
