Moore County to Care for Tuberculosis Patients at County Home, Oct. 8, 1925

Moore Will Care for Tubercular. . . Contract for Tubercular Ward of County Home Let to Thos. S. Burgess

Following are the proceedings of the county commissioners at their regular monthly session Monday.

On motion, the contract for repairs to the building of the county home in the preparation of the care of the tubercular patients of the county was awarded to Thos. S. Burgess of Southern Pines at a total cost of $1,765.

On motion, A.J. Lawson is hereby relieved of valuation of $4,000 on account of barn being burned for 1925.

On motion, W.C. Donaldson of Mineral Springs Township was appointed rural policeman for Moore County until further notice.

On motion, the allowance of Alex Campbell, who is now out of the county, is discontinued, the allowance being $5 per month.

On motion, the allowance of Harriet Merchison is increased from $3 to $5 per month.

On motion, the allowance of Minnie Hill is increased from $3 to $5 per month.

On motion, Lillie Dixon is allowed $10 per month for October, November and December.

On motion, the report of the clerk of court was turned over to the auditor with instructions to publish.

The auditor’s bond for $10,000 having been approved by the board, was ordered filed with the clerk of the board.
