Steven Yelverton, colored, charged with snatching a purse containing $12.50 from the hands of Myrtle Parker in Isaacs store yesterday, is in the city jail and will be given a hearing before the Mayor. Yelverton escaped after he is alleged to have stolen the pocketbook but was later apprehended by Policeman Burke.
