J.N. Winslow Dead

J.N. Winslow, one of the largest and most successful farmers in Pasquotank County, died at his home, Enfield Farm, overlooking the Pasquotank River about a mile below Elizabeth City, at 2 o’clock Monday morning after having been in declining health for four years. He was 72 years old.

Besides his widow, Mr. Winslow is survived by six children, five sons and one daughter, and by two sisters. The sons are James A. Winslow, Cuthbert, Georgia; William R. Winslow, Washington, D.C.; Joe H. Winslow, Orlando, Florida; Dr. Graven F. Winslow, Charlottesville, Virginia; George J. Winslow, Enfield Farm. The daughter is Miss Elizabeth Winslow, Enfield Farm; and the sisters are Miss Ella Winslow, Norfolk, and Mrs. J.K. Layden, Okisko.

Arrangements for the funeral are held in abeyance, pending news as to when children out of town can reach here.
