Rockingham, May 20—Robert L. Steele, 73, widely known textile mill executive, is dead at his home here, as a result of angina pectoris. He was president of Farmers Bank and the Hannah Pickett Cotton mills and a director in several other mills, and had large farming interests in Richmond and Anson counties.
