Bronson Building Begun at Thompson Orphanage, June 16, 1926

New Structure for Thompson Orphanage

Charlotte—An administration building costing 440,000 will be built at the Thompson Orphanage here. Construction work has begun, and every effort will be made to have the building ready for use by the opening of the next school term in September.

The structure will be known as the Bronson administration building, in memory of Rev. B.S. Bronson, former rector of St. Peter’s.

Money was raised a year and a half ago among Episcopalians of the Carolina dioceses for building purposes at the orphanage. About $210,000 was pledged.
