Orange, S.C., June 16—Mrs. J.C. Roth and her 13-year-old son Wessel left Charleston on a hike that will take them up the Atlantic Seaboard to Canada and across the country to the Pacific.
The woman, who is a native of Birmingham, Ala., is expected to reach Portland, Ore., before September 1. She will be met by her husband in Portland, and they will return home by automobile. The object of the hike, she said, was to visit the Canadian Rockies.
