Next week is commencement for the Hickory high schools, and the event will begin tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock with the baccalaureate sermon in the First Baptist Church by Rev. W.R. Bradshaw. The literary address will be delivered Thursday night by Dr. Charles Lee Raper, dean of the graduate school of the University of North Carolina. The graduating exercises by the senior class will be held Friday night. The complete program follows:
Sunday, May 12, 11 a.m.—Sermon to graduating class, First Baptist Church, by Rev. W.R. Bradshaw.
Tuesday, May 14, 8:30 p.m.—Grammar School Night, North school auditorium.
Thursday, May 16, 8:30 p.m.--Literary Address by Dr. Charles Lee Raper, High School auditorium.
Friday, May 17, 9:30 a.m.—Graduating exercises of grammar schools, High school auditorium.
Friday, May 17, 8:30 p.m.—Graduating exercises of the senior class.
