Boll Weevils Set to Destroy Lumberton Cotton Crop, September 1920

Lumberton--the Mexican boll weevil has at least reached the cotton fields of Robeson county. Well grown weevils--the kind that are capable of producing as many as 12 1/2 million other weevils during a cotton-growing season--are numerous in some sections of the county.
