Burglars Swept Through Five Dormitories Robbing Sleeping UNC Students, Dec. 21, 1920
Chapel Hill, N.C., Dec. 20—Burglars swept through five dormitories at the University of North Carolina Thursday night, taking from students’ rooms more than 30 watches and several hundred dollars in cash. In nearly every instance the watches and money were taken from rooms in which two and three students were sleeping.
Several times students were awakened by an intruder, but when the stranger explained that he had blundered into the wrong room in the dark, they went back to sleep. The robbers escaped in an automobile.
