Bailey Brothers Plant on North Chestnut Street to be Resold in May, April 16, 1924

To Re-Sell Plant of Bailey Bros.. . . 5% Upset Bid Has Been Placed on the Property—Will be Sold Some Time Next Month

Winston-Salem, April 16—Messrs. Hail and Cotton of Louisville, Ky., Bank of America, The Mechanics and Metals National Bank and the Greenville Banking and Trust company of Greenville, N.C., have placed a 5 per cent upset b id on the real estate and machinery trade marks, and good will of the business of Bailey Brothers, Inc., and the same will have to be re-sold.

According to the upset bid, the foregoing property will be sold as a whole and the bidding will start at $261,502.50, which is the bid of the above named party.

The sale will take place at the premises of the factory, 419-421-423 North Chestnut street, Winston-Salem, N.C., some time in May.

The property is being sold under orders of the United States court and will be advertised later. The sale will take place after an advertisement of 15 days from the date of the advertisement.
