Greensboro Daily News, April 3rd, says: It was learned here last night that District Highway Commissioner Hanes of Winston-Salem will put forward for early letting a hard-surface road along the new survey from Brooks Crossroads in Yadkin county to North Wilkesboro in Wilkes county.
This will be good news to the people in Yadkin and Wilkes counties as well as for others in that section who travel the highways. It means that with other construction now underway or authorized Thursday that withing a period of 18 months, there will be a solid concrete highway from Greensboro to North Wilkesboro over Route No. 60 and also the concrete highway from Mount Airy to Winston-Salem on Route No. 60 will be completed by that time.
