Miss Estella Wright Dies of Excitement After Miraculous Recovery from TB, Feb. 13, 1926

Miss Wright Dead. . . Had an Apparently Miraculous Recovery, but Excitement Was Too Much for Her

Candler, N.C., Feb. 13 (AP)—The death here a few days ago of Miss Estella Wright recalled what at the time was considered her remarkable recovery some time ago.

Miss Wright had been an invalid for about two years, and was considered incurable, it is said. One night she arose from her bed and awakened the members of the household, shouting praises for her sudden and unexpected recovery. She attributed it to the fact that she had prayer for a long time very fervently for health, and had faith that the prayers would be answered.

She assumed her duties about the home, and had discussed going to Asheville to procure work. Physicians say that she was suffering from tuberculosis and that the excitement incident to her apparent recovery was too great a strain on her strength, resulting in her death.
