Wildwood, N.J., April 9—Geo. Midgette, 38, who is alleged to have escaped on March 24th from a prison camp in Washington, N.C., was recaptured today at Two Mile Beach, where he was employed by a bridge company.
His arrest was made by county detective and Charles Unfreed (?) and Sargeant Forcum of the Wildwood police. The prisoner was taken to the county North Carolina authorities.
Midgette was serving a two-year term at the prison camp, police say.
