James M. Measmer, aged 55, died Thursday night at his home on Mulberry street, this city. He had been ill with heart trouble for several years.
Mr. Measmer was born June 21, 1871 in Cabarrus county and had been a resident of Concord for many years He was a member of the Forest Hill Methodist church, where funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. T.F. Higgins. Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Miss Hattie Measmer, Andrew and Clyde Measmer, Mrs. T.D. Hunter and Miss Mary Measmer, all of Concord. Two brothers, John W. Measmer of Tennessee and N.B. Measmer of Lee county; and two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Gray and Mrs. J.W. McAnulty, both of this county, also survive.
