Mr. J.W. Noell of Mt. Tirzah died at his home last Sunday night. He had been in declining health for some time and his death was not unexpected. For many years Mr. Noell served as a member of the County School Board and was recognized as one of the strongmen of the County. He was a son of the late Mr. W.T. Noell, who was one of the most prominent men of the County.
Besides his wife, who is a daughter of Hon. Wash. F. Reade, he leaves several children, two brothers and two sisters. The funeral took place at the home yesterday evening, and the burial was at Mt. Tirzah Methodist church, of which he was a faithful and devoted member.
Not only his immediate family and numerous relatives, but the entire community and County will regret the departure of this good man.
