Will Garmond, aged resident of this county, was painfully hurt this morning when struck by an auto driven by George Whitley.
The accident occurred on Union street in front of the Ritchie-Caldwell Hardware Company and Mr. Garmond was carried into the hardware store until a physician could be called. Later he was carried to the Concord Hospital, where it was reported that he was not seriously hurt. He suffered a dislocated shoulder and several minor cuts and bruises, it was said.
Whitley told police officers that the accident was unavoidable and eye witnesses made the same report to officers, it is said. Whitley was not arrested.
