The North State theatre will hold its first Charleston contest Monday night in connection with the first of a series of six lessons in this popular dance by Arthur Murray, America’s premier dance instructor. There is every indication that there will be some keen competition among the Charleston steppers of Goldsboro. Three prizes will be awarded, the first prize being $10 in cash.
In this first contest there will be no age limit, so everyone is eligible to enter. There will be no raise in admission for the special performance.
