John Leak, colored, died at Lumberton Monday morning. The remains were brought to Rockingham Tuesday, and the funeral held from A.M.E. Zion church Tuesday afternoon. John was a brother of Dewey Leak here, and plied his trade as expert barber for many years. He had lived in Lumberton for the past 20 years. Diabetes was the immediate cause of death.
