Samuel W. Parker, aged 78, prominent citizen of Oxford, died Friday morning last at his home after an illness of several weeks.
He was a native of Halifax county but has resided in Oxford since he attended the Horner school, becoming one of the founders of the Parker Hunt Lumber Company of Oxford.
He was a brother of Mr. Romulus Parker of Enfield.
