Fatal Fall From Truck
Late yesterday afternoon while returning from school, J.T.
Strickland, the 13-year-old son of Mr. Spencer Strickland, who resides near
Black Creek, fell from one of the school trucks used to convey the children to
and from school and was killed.
The brother of the boy, Lenny Strickland, was driving the
truck and it is uncertain whether the boy was run over by the vehicle or
whether he was killed when he struck the ground. The funeral will be held this
afternoon at 3:30.
