Editor's Glad Hertford County Has Farm Agent; Now It Needs County Health Officer, April 9, 1920

From the April 9, 1920, editorial page of the Hertford County Herald, published every Friday by J. Roy Parker, editor, and Jas. S. Vinson, manager, Ahoskie, N.C.

Hertford County gets a return engagement of farm demonstration. The commissioners have seen the light and rightfully made the appropriation. Now, it is up to the farmers of the county to use the services of the farm demonstrator, who will welcome an inquiry from you regarding improved farming methods. He is here in the county to serve the farmers and it is their privilege to use his services. Let’s make the most of this work and make improvements in our antiquated methods of farming in Hertford.

Hertford County should spend some more money now on the improvement of health conditions. We need a county health officer who should devote his entire time to the health work of the county.
