Farmers Who Killed HIs Wife Commits Suicide in Wake County Jail, Dec. 1, 1920
By the Associated Press, Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 1—Chas. E. Davis, prominent and wealthy Wake county farmers who early on Monday morning shot and injured is wife so badly that she died yesterday, hanged himself in his cell at the Wake county jail some time during the night.
Davis used the two sleeves of his undershirt, tying them together and placing one end of the cloth on the bars of his cell and the other around his neck, strangled to death.
