On the night of the Fourth of July the Community Hospital grounds will be gaily illuminated and chairs will be provided for ladies who wish to see the big fireworks display.
The water carnival will be in full view from this point and no more beautiful view of the Pasquotank can be obtained than from the Hospital grounds. The ladies of the Hospital society will sell ice cream and the funds from this sale will go toward buying the Community Hospital ambulance, giving everybody opportunity to help in this worthy cause while enjoying a delightful holiday.
