Statesville, July 8—L. Morris Morrison, who has been in the Carpenter-Davis hospital for a few days suffering with blood poison, is reported today to be in a critical condition.
While on a visit to his farm in the country Sunday, Mr. Morrison stepped through a plank on a bridge over a ditch and slightly injured his left leg. Blood poison soon developed, and he was carried to the local hospital for treatment.
