William McAlister, negro, claims that he is the champion ‘possum hunter of these parts, and he shows a remarkable record to substantiate the claim. He says that since the season opened about October 1, he has caught 83 ‘possums and two coons. His hunting ground usually is the Tokay section on the west side of the Cape Fear River. Occasionally he crosses over and hunts on the east side.
Think of it: 83 ‘possums and two coons as the result of little over one month’s hunting! Next!
