Mr. C.F. Moody had the misfortune to lose his fine barn on Iotla by fire last Wednesday night about 9 o’clock. When the fire was discovered, it had made such headway that it was impossible to save it. The total loss is estimated at $2,000, with no insurance. In addition to the barn, one horse, two cows, 150 bales of hay and about a ton of loose hay were burned. The fact that a strong wind was blowing the fire away from the other buildings was the only thing that saved the entire lot of buildings, including the residence, from going up in flames.
