Funeral services for Mrs. A.N. Crabtree were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Temple Baptist church at 2:30 o’clock by the Rev. Trela D. Collins, the pastor. Burial took place in Maplewood cemetery.
Mrs. Crabtree died Friday morning at her home on Vickers avenue, after having been in declining health for several months. For 50 years she lived in Durham, making the pathway of those with home she came in contact happier and brighter. A devout Christian, she ever took an active interest in the work of her Master until ill health aggravated by advanced age forced her to give up the work. She was 75 years of age.
The large attendance of friends and the many beautiful floral offerings spoke mutely but forcefully of the high esteem in which she was held by those who knew her.
