Two houses on Pigeon Street and a large lot were auctioned off by Attorney J.R. Morgan yesterday at 11 o’clock, subject to confirmation. A six-room house occupied by Ira Thackston was bid off by Col. S.T. Graves for $3,300. An 11-room house next door was bid off at $2,950 by Mrs. Will Jones, who was also the highest bidder for the rear lot at $560. Then all the property was sold as a whole to W.R. Harbeck for $6,850, which was $40 above the individual bids. It is hardly believed that the sale will be confirmed by the owners, one of whom is a non-resident.
