Up until 11 o’clock today the Boulevard Bank had no word from Mr. Henry C. Pace or Officer Bob Dillon, who are in New York state for the purpose of bringing Carl C. Countryman back here for trial. On Tuesday Mr. Pace wrote the bank, he expected they would leave Albany after the hearing before Gov. Smith Wednesday afternoon. Since then, nothing more has been heard.
It is not known how the hearing came out, but it is known Countryman will resist any suggestion of a tour to the Grand Old State of North Carolina at this season of the year while the mills of the gods grind slow but exceedingly fine.
