Miss Lillian Johnson celebrated her birthday at the home of her parents Editor and Mrs. J.E. Johnson last Friday evening by entertaining her friends of the junior age at a party.
Green hats with a gold shamrock on one side and the invitation in gilt letters on the other side, filled the guests with a keen expectation of a real St. Patrick’s Day party.
Three rooms were decorated in festoons of green and white, with lighted candles. Progressive rook was played and other games enjoyed. The prize at rook, a St. Patrick’s Day hat filled with mints, was won by Miss Virginia Burke.
Angel fruit cake decorated with shamrock frosting and ices bearing shamrocks were served.
The hostess was the recipient of a number of dainty and attractive gifts.
