Wallace-Bartlett Wedding Held Oct. 28, 1923

Wallace-Bartlett

Miss Agnes Bartlett and Mrs. O.D. Wallace were quietly united in marriage Thursday afternoon, October 28, at 2 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents. Rev. C.E. Clarke, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, performing the ceremony, which was attended only by the members of the family and a few friends. The marriage was performed in the parlor, which was beautifully decorated with ferns, chrysanthemums, and potted plants.

The bride looked quite charming in a brown crepe dress, with accessories to match.

She is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Barlett of near Carthage. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wallace of Carthage, and the Senior member of the firm of Wallace Brothers.

Immediately after the ceremony, the bride and groom left for an extended bridal tour, after which they will be at home in Carthage, N.C.

The popular couple has a host of friends who wish them much happiness and success in married life.
