Chain Gang Appreciates Service, Oct. 5, 1925

Service at Chain Gang

Messrs. A.E. White, K.M. Barnes, G.E. Rancke, E.W. Dunham, W.W. Davis, E.B. Freeman and Regan Floyd conducted a service for the chain gang near Parkton yesterday afternoon. They were struck with the number of young men, apparently 18 to 21 years old, in the gang. The prisoners manifested great interest in the service and joined heartily in the singing. Only one of the number said he had a pocket Testament, in response to a question by Mr. White, but each said he would read one if he had it, and a Testament will be sent to each one of them at once.
