Several who asked that The Robesonian keep them informed as to the progress of the trial were notified by ‘phone a few minutes after the verdict was rendered. “The Robesonian, first, last and always.”

--A large electric sign has been placed in front of the I. & W. store on Elm street and adds greatly to the attractiveness of the street. More handsome signs are needed.

--Charles Harrel, negro, is in the Baker sanatorium here suffering with a broken leg and other injuries he received last Friday when he either fell off the R. & C. railroad trestle south of here, or was pushed off by John Henry Cherry, negro, who is still evading officers.

--A horse was found lying dead in the road near Harper’s Ferry Bridge in Pembroke Township early yesterday morning, but no report of any violence has been reported to officers here. A buggy hitched to the horse was badly wrecked and from all appearances a bad wreck occurred, but nothing definite can be learned here.

--Dr. G.E. Moorehouse, pastor of the Presbyterian church, continues on the road to recovery at the Presbyterian manse. He is gaining in strength daily, to the great gratification of not only his congregation but the entire town and community. The primary classes of the Sunday school visited him yesterday with offerings of flowers. Dr. Raymond Thompson of the Charlotte sanatorium, where Dr. Moorehouse spent six weeks of his illness which began 12 weeks ago today, also visited him yesterday and was greatly pleased at the improvement of his condition since he came home a week ago.
