One of the most interesting cases disposed of at this week’s term of Wayne County Superior Court for the trial of civil cases was taken up yesterday in which John Minshew, a rural resident of the county, was plaintiff in an action against David Scott, also of the rural section of the county, was asking damages for alleged fake arrest, in the sum of several thousand dollars. The case consumed practically the entire session, the case going to the jury late in the afternoon and being decided in favor of the defendant.
The plaintiff Minshew set forth that he had been placed under arrest on a charge of breaking in; that he had proved his innocence of this charge, etc. He sought damages for that indignity.
The jury decided, however, that no damages were due.
